Mr.
Michael Tsertsidis was born in Athens in 1956.
He studied Political Sciences and Law in the University of
Uppsala, Sweden.
He
carried on with his studies in Business Administration as
well as in Foreign languages and Interpretation courses in
Sweden. He has been awarded the Swedish Certificate of Official
Interpreter.
He has been trainer,
councilor, coordinator and founder of numerous translation
and interpretation companies both in Greece and abroad.
- He
is the founder and first chairman of the Confederation
of Professional Interpreters of Sweden (GTR/SACO-SR).

Holder of the Diploma in Greek Translation by The Greek
Institute of London, UK.

He has been dealing with translation-interpretation activities
professionally since 1975.

Ha has been member of the Panhellenic Association of Professional
Translators (PSEM), Panhellenic Association of Translation
Enterprises (PASMEE), Professional Chamber of Athens,
Greek-Swedish Professional Chamber of Athens as well as
of the Greek-Swedish Chamber of Greece.

Worked as Interpreter at Courts of First Instance, Courts
of Appeal and at the Supreme Court of Greece.

Employed as a cabin interpreter during the Greek Presidency
at the Zappeion Mansion and at the Greek Parliament.

Decorated with the gold medal of Athens by the Deputy
Mayor of Athens Mr. Nicolas Yatracos in May 2001 on account
of his interpretation-oriented services to the Municipality
of Athens.

He is the author of the –unique in its kind- 42,000-word
Greek-Swedish and Swedish-Greek dictionary of scientific
terminology.
Mr.
Michael Tsertsidis has been included on the list of Greek
Foreign Ministry's translators by dint of a resolution issued
by Mr. P. Molyviatis, former Foreign Minister.
